01. Context
New opportunities to serve users
Credimi is the largest digital lender in Europe for small and medium businesses. With more than 5B euros in loans in only 5 years, they had a strong customer base and even stronger funnel of applicant companies.
What they lacked, however, was a way to serve small-medium businesses beside loans. An engaging and retaining solution to scale their business model and strengthen operations in EU.
Working side-by-side with their team, we conducted 100+ interviews with SME owners to understand their needs and pain points. We then proceeded to ideate, prototype and research a SaaS solution for SME cashflow management: Credimi Assist.
02. Solution
A minimum lovable product in weeks
We followed Lean Startup practices and iterated multiple times over different feature sets and product roadmaps. With the information acquired by customers and market research, we started designing the UI and UX of this new product, aiming to ship the essential features as quickly as possible, and learn more from there.
In just 6 weeks we were able to launch in stealth-mode and acquire our first users. We shipped a React single-page-application backed by a Nest.js backend with MongoDB, including integrations with external services like PSD2 AISP and e-invoices download.
We also instrumented the product with Mixpanel product analytics to observe and learn from active users what worked and what needed to change, and iterate over the following months based on that.
03. Achievements
Product-led roadmapping
In just 4 months, the new product was already integrated with the product landscape and infrastructure of Credimi. This allowed us to redirect part of their organic traffic to the new SaaS, getting priceless feedback from their customer base with no adv campaign.
The combination of a lean mindset, proper product analytics and our super-speed engineering team made possible to evolve and adapt with efficiently and effectively. We doubled user activation rate while making onboarding self-provisioned to keep low CRM utilisation. We researched and redesigned a whole new part of the product based on both customer feedbacks and usage patterns.
The app is currently online and free to use. If you want to check it out or use it for your business, you can sign up right-away.
